Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Yusuf al-Barroso warned Europeans to stay off the streets, as he confirmed the massive "Yes" votes in the recent French, Dutch and Irish referendums on the European Constitution.
"The process was very clean, and there has been no cheating," said al-Barroso, who heads the EU's Guardian Council. "We are therefore proceeding with the implementation of the European Constitution in full, including the creation of a foreign ministry, an EU system of criminal justice and the Charter of Fundamental Rights".
The EU's Guardian Council also announced that, in accordance with the provisions of the European Constitution, 18 additional MEPs would take their seats next month.
The Grand Ayatollah accused "Euro-sceptic media, largely owned by Anglo-Saxons and Zionists" of setting Europeans against one another.
President Obama has so far refused to back anti-federalist demonstrators, insisting that European referendums are an internal matter.
Al-Barroso added "Every member state has now ratified the European Constitution, and 85 per cent of Europeans have indicated their clear support for closer integration. God is great!"
