I love that sign. By the way, I bought a new FAL this last weekend at a gunshow. It is the second one I have. I took it out to the range today and it shot great.

Well Gator, don't you pity your poor Cousins who have to go through life unarmed? Over here burglars can be quietly confident than NONE of their victims will be a threat. More to the point, our gummint can be sure that none of the citizens are a threat to them .... It isn't that there are no weapons around over here. It's just that they all belong to the government and other criminals!

The values that our Founding Fathers had when they established the Second Amendment were British values. The idea that a person has the right to protect their family and property. Did you really get a safer country because of that?

"The values that our Founding Fathers had when they established the Second Amendment were British values. The idea that a person has the right to protect their family and property. " Hmmm.... anyone remember Tony Martin ?

There was a time - and not so long ago - when the police were chasing an armed malefactor who had hijacked a tram (!), but they had lost the key to their armoury. They retrieved the situation by borrowing revolvers from passers-by! And England was a safer place to live in then .... Makes yer think .....

Though there are several each year in my area, I've never been to a gun show but I'm sure the antique fire arms would be fun to tour. My grandfather (an avid firearm trader) left me his 1884 Springfield. True to the Duke's spirit, if I ever get my hands on an 1892 Winchester, it'll go proudly above the fireplace mantle. As to Dog's photo, most Americans I know share this neighbor's sentiment about responsible gun ownership. I wasn't aware that there were any Brits who felt the same.
