LOL!
Aeropuff has the "liberal" characteristics she hates in others, specifically her version of free speech: She will fight to the death for anyone's right to agree with her!
Same old bad attitude from Aerostar and Masked Marauder I see. Hostility towards anyone who dares ask a reasonable question. It demonstrates a high degree of insecurity on their part. Very defensive.
I once thought there couldn't be anyone worse than quid as a moderator. Then she came along. Is Stephen still on the board or has she stabbed him in the back too? I did write him and warn him, after I'd written and told him which regiment Sandman belonged to and how Aerostar's claims were a load of tosh. He seemd to be under her spell, though.
I can't remember whether I was Timmied or if I quit. Seems so long ago.
I think you quit, Highlander. So did I ...
We can't even claim the glory of being Timmied!

I thought you were Timmied Bear?
I wasn't though, although I still bear a degree of resentment to Evil Annie for not presenting me with one.
I think I earned my Timmy, but it was denied to me
i think i flounced out, and was then 'timmied'.
of course i went back - and to my delight Stephen 'hid' me from that odious bunch of creeps for several months, perhaps he didn't like them as much as they thought he did...
silly sod, he shough come over here - anyone know how his Law exams went?
I was a platinum member, with more posts than the Stasi. Once Quid returned Arseopuff became more assertive. You invited me to come here, which I did, while continuing to post over there. She didn't like that, and together with Quid decreed that I would only be allowed to post in some little section she has set up as a sandpit for those whose views she disliked ... so I came over here permanently.
I did go back once, to see if I could still post, but found myself banned. It was my stance on freedom she didn't like. I protested when she banned people for having non-right-wing views. I thought then, and still do think, that "progressives" are as entitled to their opinions as I am to mine. And should be free to express them, too. And that goed for right-wingers as well.
I suppose I am an "extremist" after all. It is my extreme view of the meaning of liberty that make me appear to be a BNP supporter to some. I believe in freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, freedom to campaign for election, freedom to go about lawful business without intimidation. The BNP, more than any other group in our society, are most under attack from the anti-libertarians, so the BNP is most in need of defending today.
If you deprive one group of liberty in the name of political correctness, demonise them and lie about them, where does it all end?
Probably with no one allowed to hold any view at all, if it is at odds with the liberal consensus.
I'm astonished that they got rid of qudnunc though.
He was their main poster and co-moderator.
I expect that, given long enough, the mad cow will ban herself.
I know I was banned because aerostar and the masked marauder guy were harrassing another poster and I dared to point out the forum rules against such a thing. They both exploded on me because I hadn't been a member long - so what right did I have to lecture them, etc. (as if that matters - rules is rules).
Then Jerri told me how she'd posted some nonsense about finding evidence that I was a fake. Turns out her evidence was visiting this site, seeing a post by one of my comrades and jumping to a bizarre conclusion. Then Jerri dared to question her evidence and he was booted off as soon as she logged on. I never got to know that Stephen guy but he didn't seem to have much control over his own site.
Can't say I'm sorry I wasn't there long.

I actually met up with Stephen some years back and had lunch. While I didn't agree with his views per se he didn't seem particularly unreasonable. I think he became in awe of the US folks and due to work just passed the site on. Unfortunately his reasonableness also got passed upon.
I actually quit well before the Timmy phenomenon. I had joined ST more for the nostalgia aspect and that certainly got waylaid.
We did find out that we had known each other years before - he went to the same school as my brother and myself when about 8 years old. He was one of my brother's best friends. He came over to our place a few times for birthday parties etc.
Strange.
"Duncans" enquiry about Stephen has been deleted and his account removed.
What can it all mean?

It means she wants to rewrite history - as if it really matters what happens on a little, insignificant web forum!
I think what the Communists habitually do on a large scale Aerostar wanted to do in her small empire. How strange that a supposedly conservative web site should follow that path! My view of conservatism is that it is, first and foremost, the political expression of genuine liberalism: love of liberty - freedom of speech even for people whose views are not to your liking, & freedom from government oppression.
The Aerostar/Quidnunc regime on ST (in its small and insignificant way) was diametrically opposed to the spirit of that true conservatism.

Obviously not.
