It seems this chap does not work in a supermarket, but in a distribution center. No employer could be reasonably expected to divide pallets into "halal and haram" for the benefit of a single Muslim fork-lift truck-driver, I very much doubt that he was ever given an undertaking that he would only be expected to move gin-free consignments.
It is not as if he were stacking the bottles on the shelves, selling them at the checkout, or pouring out the infidel indulgence into a glass - though many of his co-religionists are more than happy to do both in their restaurants and corner shops.
In fact, a fork lift truck driver can scarcely be said to "handle" the goods on his pallets at all.
So if a person of your undoubted perceptiveness cannot see that what we have here is a vexatious complainant, I am most surprised.
Yes ... I ridicule his scruples most certainly. I don't think they are real. If they are, then he is in the wrong job, as I said before. Our Good Dog describes him as "a silly sod". Now there is ridicule, for you! He is at least that, and at worst a troublemaker who thinks he is doing a spot of jihad, which is far more likely, in my opinion ....
As you have spotted, I make no secret of my opposition to Islam as a dangerous political ideology. I am also opposed to it as a loathsome and pernicious false religion, inclined to persecute all others where it can, that keeps millions of its own in poverty in regressive societies.
Yes, I agree entirely with the Byzantine Emperor Paleologus. The good things in Islam were borrowed from Judaism and Christianity; the only new thing Mohammed gave the world is an ideology of conflict and oppression. The only tolerance it espouses is an insistence on receiving toleration from others.
That is my take on it. You are entitled to your own.

Comment posted in the despicable Daily Mail:
Nobody suggested Mohammed Ahmed drink the alcohol, merely to shift it with his forklift truck. No doubt he may also have shifted packed meat, including pork, the consumption of which is also forbidden to Muslims. He may also have shifted colognes and perfumes which also contain alcohol.
No, this is a case too far. Someone's surely taking the mickey - or should that be a mickey-fin?

So if a person of your undoubted fairness cannot see that what we have here is only part of the relevant evidence and thus are not capable of forming a genuine judgment, I am most surprised.
I do not say that this is a vexatious complainant, I do not say that this is not a vexatious complainant - I merely say that I can perceive of cases in which either would be the case, and suggest that we leave it to somebody with more evidence than an article from the media to decide which is the correct description of the situation. Why we need to pre-judge cases with such fervency (apart from the particular religious adherence of those involved) I utterly fail to grasp.
