I love American political campaigns. They seem to do things completely in reverse to us. Over here we (tend to) have reasonably polite, reasoned campaigns but vicious face to face exchanges in parliament. The Yanks seem to have more robust campaigns but once elected they are all sweetness and light. Remember when Galloway went over and savaged those two senators? They just didn't know what to do about him.

Well, Dick Cheney told Vermont Senator Pat Leahy to go F' himself because Leahy ran his mouth and then acted all buddy buddy to him. While I'm not a big Cheney fan (and even less of a Pat Leahy fan), it was great to see that.
