Demonstrators detained due to T-shirts
Three demonstrators who wore Stop Airport Expansion T-shirts during a pro-*test*-('") at London's Heathrow Airport say officials detained them because of their attire. Former Christian Aid worker Mike Lacey said he and two other demonstrators were stopped and detained by police for wearing T-shirts that opposed airport officials' plans to add a third runway at Heathrow, the Mail on Sunday reported. "The process took half an hour and the police were unable to give any justification for their behavior," Lacey said of the May 31 incident. The trio, which also included John and Tessa Wilding, were stopped on their way to the pro-*test*-('") to join 3,000 other demonstrators. A spokeswoman for Scotland Yard said the trio were stopped and eventually removed from airport property based on a 1996 bylaw that allows police to question anyone at the airport they find suspicious. "Three people were stopped and asked to account for their presence," the unidentified spokeswoman told the Mail. "They were not searched. The officers correctly interpreted the bylaws." http://tinyurl.com/6jrz6w

Well they look like potential terrorists to me, quick shut them up for 42 days while we plant some child-porn on their computers. Being serious, if they were on airport property then it's perfectly reasonable for the property owner to have them removed - but I don't see any grounds for detention, except of the briefest possible form whilst removing them from the property.

Well they look like potential terrorists to me, They do don't they. The one on the right in particular. You can see by the look in his eyes that he's a dangerous desperado that one. The other one is Paddy Ashdowns evil little brother.
